The Mighty Beings Travelling Towards the South
Towards the southern tip of India, near the Urulanthanni River, one can often see groups of elephants going on a leisure stroll. They usually travel in groups of 5 to 6; you can see elephants of all age groups – from the baby elephants cuddling close to their mothers to the much older elephants moving slowly towards the back.
The scattered villagers don’t seem to mind them that much, but everyone sure keeps an eye out to not anger them. They march proudly, shaking the ground with their feet. The elephants usually do not blow their trumpets unless strictly necessary.
