Charles and Diana’s Sister Had a History
Charles and Diana’s romance didn’t start with them. Rather, Charles already had a brief relationship with Lady Sarah Spencer, Diana’s older sister. The two had dated for a while before Sarah became a touch too open to the media and began revealing her demons to the press.

She infamously told reporters she wouldn’t marry Charles, and it didn’t matter if he was the garbage man or the King of England. Understandably disappointed and furious, Charles ended the relationship. However, he had visited the Spencers’ residence, Althorp House, while they were together and met the 16-year-old Diana.
