Taylor Swift has risen to superstardom, but you don’t get to that level of success without creating a few enemies in the industry. And Taylor has a lot of them. Here are some of Taylor’s most infamous feuds, ranging from her battles with Katy Perry and Scooter Braun over her career to her battles with Kim and Kanye and other celebrities who have spoken out against her.
Taylor Swift has a slew of ex-boyfriends, many of whom she’s sung about in her music and with whom she holds a grudge. Ex-boyfriends aren’t the only people on Swift’s list of feuds. Who can forget her iconic fights with Kanye West and Katy Perry? And now that she’s in a legal battle with Scooter Braun over the rights to her music, those feuds are merging, and the stakes are higher than ever.
Swift’s quarrel with Katy Perry, whom she formerly considered a friend, is the most intricate, long running, and tiring of her feuds. Their clash stems from a disagreement over the scheduling of specific backup dancers for their performance tours. It all began when Swift accused Perry of stealing three of Swift’s backup dancers for her tour.
But it was subsequently revealed that the dancers had been working for Perry before she took a hiatus from performing, and she had simply taken them back. The issue was that it was right in the middle of Taylor’s tour. When Taylor mentioned Perry, Perry responded with a tweet that said, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothes…”
Their Teams Got Involved
Their continued dispute sparked a rivalry that resulted in hit songs like Katy’s “Swish Swish” and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” which included numerous members of Taylor’s “squad.” Katy and her followers alleged that Taylor was preaching against pitting women against one another, but was actually doing it.
This carried on for a long time, until Katy and Taylor eventually buried the hatchet when Perry dressed up as a burger and fries in her music video for “You Need to Calm Down,” for some strange, yet charming reason. Perry uploaded a photo of a plate of cookies and praised Swift on Instagram in June, rekindling memories of their drama.
Nicki Minaj Believed Taylor Swift Had Taken Her Place
Nicki Minaj was rightfully featured in Katy Perry’s vengeance song, “Swish Swish.” The musician definitely took sides in the feud, especially given it came on the heels of a Twitter spat between Minaj and Swift a few years ago. When Perry’s music video “Bad Blood” was nominated for a 2015 VMA award, Minaj was disappointed that her video “Anaconda,” which was one of the most talked-about videos of the year, was not.
“Feeling Myself,” which Nicki co-wrote with Beyoncé, wasn’t either. Nicki addressed her disappointment at the VMAs, claiming that “other ladies” were nominated for music videos featuring incredibly thin women. Taylor felt she was talking to her, given her smash track “Bad Blood” had a large fan base.
Taking Other Ladies Down
Taylor chastised Nicki for putting other women down, claiming it was “unlike her” and that one of the males may have taken her place instead. The quarrel escalated into a bigger discussion about racism in the music industry. Perry then added her two cents, saying it was strange that Swift seemed to agree with Minaj while “Bad Blood” was ostensibly about another woman: Perry herself.
Nicki later disputed that she was referring to Taylor, adding that she “loves” her. But that didn’t explain her participation in Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish.” It also explains why, after Taylor published “Look What You Made Me Do,” Nicki sent her a tweet saying, “N— sit down. Humble yourself.” Yikes! We’re guessing she’s not very fond of her?
John Mayer Describes Himself as “Humiliated”
Taylor is known for singing about her ex-boyfriends, and John Mayer, whose relationship with Taylor ended in 2010, was one of them. Taylor penned “Dear John” when she was 19 years old, indicating that Mayer should’ve known better, that he exploited her, and that she regretted the whole incident. In an interview, the “Gravity” singer stated that he felt “humiliated” by the incident.
He said, “How would you feel if someone kicked you even lower when you’re at your lowest?” According to the insider, John realized that Taylor needed to “please her fans,” but he didn’t like being “written about in lyrics.” He “would prefer to be left out entirely” and “hasn’t spoken to her in ages, so he learns about her sentiments for him through her music.”
Justin Bieber Despised Selena Gomez’s Friendship with Taylor
While Justin Bieber is now married to Hailey Baldwin, he is said to have a vendetta against Taylor Swift dating back to when he was dating Selena Gomez. Taylor Swift has known Selena Gomez for nearly a decade, so it’s no surprise that she doesn’t get along with Gomez’s ex, Justin Bieber.
Bieber seemed to believe his relationship with Selena was harmed because Taylor continued to drive a rift between them by telling Selena she could do better than him. If anyone doubts this, just look at the footage of Taylor sticking her tongue out at Justin and Selena at the 2014 VMAs.
Kelly Osbourne Considers Herself a “Humble Brag”
It appears that Ozzy Osbourne isn’t the only member of the Osbourne family that adores Taylor Swift. His daughter, Kelly, has also joined the Swift bandwagon. Kelly Osbourne has been spotted on Instagram spending time with Tay Tay and even baking cookies with her, but the TV personality has some harsh words for her so-called buddy.
“My greatest pet peeve with Taylor is that she still says, ‘Me?’ in front of 25,000 people. ‘You’ve come for me?’ Get over it, you’re Taylor Swift!” We’re not sure what to make of this couple’s connection, but we’re certain Osbourne is a fan.
Hailey Bieber Is Not Part of Taylor’s Team
It doesn’t imply she can’t get along with Tay just because her husband can’t. Supermodel twins Gigi and Bella Hadid are well-known members of Taylor’s “squad,” which effectively means they’ve declared war on the rest of the world. Hailey Bieber (previously Baldwin), who is close pals with the Hadids, is perplexed by the situation and has declared herself anti-Swift.
“I have no idea who the Taylor Swift posse is. I’m not sure what it means to have a squad. All I have are my buddies,” she explained. She then liked a user’s Instagram post in which they stated they’d “smack” Taylor for a “sweet tea from McDonald’s.” That’s a lot of pressure!
Chloe Grace Moretz Is a Fan of a Different Kind of Feminism
Sure, Taylor Swift’s entourage is amusing. What’s not to love about female celebrities praising one another, getting together for BBQs, and giving feminism a new lease on life? Chloe Grace Moretz is one celebrity who isn’t having it with Taylor Swift’s “squad” nonsense. In 2016, she was asked to join Taylor’s “strong girl-squad,” but she declined, claiming it was nothing more than a clique.
While she praised Tay Tay’s skill, she chastised her for “appropriating exclusivity.” Instead, she favors a form of feminism that is inclusive. The actress stated, “It’s not only about women being powerful. It’s about the power of race and gender.”
Kanye West Is Not Going to Let Her Complete Her Sentence
Kanye West and Taylor Swift’s dispute began, like so many others, during the MTV Video Music Awards. Taylor cannot be blamed for her huge quarrel with Kanye, as he is the one who notoriously initiated it. When Taylor won an award for Best Video at the VMAs, he stormed the stage, snatched the microphone from her, and ranted about how Beyoncé should have won.
This one was from 2009, so it’s a little out of date. Swift was only 19 when she won the prize for best female video, defeating Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.” Kanye was upset by the decision and stormed the stage, declaring, “I’m going to let you continue, but Beyoncé had one of the finest videos of all time.”
Then the Next Blow Happened
For a few years, the two traded barbs over it, and while Kanye allegedly apologized to Swift in public, and it appeared for a brief moment that the two were on better terms, another blow was delivered. With the release of West’s 2016 song “Famous” on his album “The Life of Pablo,” things got ugly again.
With the words “I made that b— famous,” Kanye featured Taylor in a music video called “Famous.” He also utilized a wax figure with celebrities like Taylor Swift, who was naked and in bed with the rapper at the time. Swift was clearly enraged, and she gathered her friends to publicly disgrace him.
Kim Kardashian Made a Hidden Recording Public
Before the release of “Famous,” West stated that Swift had granted him permission to label her a “b——.” Swift refuted the claim. That’s when West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, got involved. She came to Kanye’s aid, posting a series of Snapchats with a clip of Taylor purportedly giving her OK for the line to be used in Kanye’s song.
While the footage she shared didn’t indicate that Taylor agreed to be called a b— by Kanye, the public appeared to be on West’s side now. Taylor was dubbed a “snake” by some. Despite Taylor’s denials, Kim stated in an interview that Taylor “completely” approved. “She suddenly wanted to appear as if she didn’t.”
Taylor’s Anti-Kim Campaign
The video makes no mention of Swift being called a “b——” in the verse at issue. Regardless, public opinion was overwhelmingly in favor of the Wests. Taylor then replied to Kim and Kanye’s charges with the song “Look What You Made Me Do” (doesn’t this seem to be a repeating theme with Taylor?). She also referred to the two as “bullies,” labeling Kim’s treatment of her a “hate campaign.”
Things appeared to have calmed down until a longer version of Taylor’s track rekindled the conflict. One source told Radar Online that “Kim hates Taylor and she can’t understand why she’s always talking about her,” while another said Kim was still envious of Kanye’s lyrics, claiming he could still see her.
Scooter Braun Snatched Taylor Swift’s Songs from Beneath Her Feet
While Taylor’s other celebrity feuds appear to be trivial, her quarrel with Scooter Braun focuses on a more serious issue: her musical rights. During their personal spat, Braun, who was also Kanye West’s manager at the time, bought a large share in Big Machine Records, the firm that created many of Swift’s songs and owns the rights to her masters.
During the VMA crisis, Braun was Kanye West’s manager, and she supposedly believed he was to blame for his attacks on her. As Taylor remarked, “I learned about Scooter Braun’s acquisition of my masters as soon as it was publicized to the world. All I could think about was the years of relentless, deceitful bullying I’d endured at his hands.”
Her Songs Had to Be Re-Recorded
Swift’s open letter prompted a debate among music industry heavyweights. Big Machine negotiated an agreement with Swift in 2004 that gave it control of the masters for her first six albums in exchange for helping her launch her career. Big Machine allegedly transferred these rights to Scooter Braun without Taylor’s knowledge.
She was never allowed to bid on her own songs before they were then sold to Shamrock Holdings. Taylor claims that part of the agreement was not to tell her about it until it was finalized. After learning that Scooter would continue to profit from her songs, Taylor declined to collaborate with Shamrock. Instead, she opted to re-record her own tracks.
Scooter Braun Was Backed Up by Sia
Sia went out loudly in support of Scooter Braun in the newest twist in Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun’s spat. Sia instantly defended Braun when Swift accused him of harassing and exploiting her. “You’re a wonderful dude, @scooterbraun,” she tweeted. “I’m hoping this goes away soon. Keep on, I adore you.” Gasp.
Right in front of Taylor’s eyes? The singer of “Cheap Thrills” didn’t have to say much to emphasize her belief that Taylor Swift is in the wrong and that Braun did nothing wrong. We’re betting these two aren’t as close as they once were. The acquisition, which includes the rights to her first six albums, was described by the singer as her “worst-case scenario” and the latest example of Braun’s “constant, manipulative bullying” of her.
Karlie Kloss Was Cut from the Team
In 2013, Taylor met Karlie Kloss and the two hit it off immediately, virtually becoming best friends. They used to flaunt their relationship from the rooftops, but something occurred along the line that caused Taylor to miss Karlie’s wedding to Josh Kushner in 2018 and then to write two songs about her.
In “Look What You Made Me Do,” Taylor was wearing a blouse with the names of her best pals on it, but Kloss’ name was missing. Jennifer Lawrence admitted that it was “keeping her up at night” as she worried about what had transpired between them. Kloss has made it plain where she stands because she has ties to both Kanye West and Scooter Braun, according to sources.
Calvin Harris Felt Taylor Betrayed Him
For a while, things looked to be going so well for Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, but the two parted ways after the record producer apparently “couldn’t take” Taylor being so much more successful than he was. Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were seen kissing two weeks after her breakup with Calvin Harris.
Taylor’s rapid start to dating actor Tom Hiddleston after they were caught dancing together to The Weeknd’s song while she was still with Harris didn’t help matters. Then it was revealed that Harris’ most popular song with Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For,” was written by Taylor under a pseudonym.
A Rather Venomous Rant
Calvin suspected Taylor of cheating on him during their relationship. “He just didn’t know who he was dealing with,” the insider said. In a series of tweets about Taylor, Harris went on a rampage, stating he was “angry” that she and her team leaked the material after he claimed he wouldn’t work with her — making him look like a liar.
“I suppose if you’re happy in your current relationship, you should focus on that rather than attempting to bring down your former boyfriend for fun,” he added. “I understand you’re off tour and you’re looking for someone fresh to try and bury like Katy, etc., but I’m not that man, sorry. I’m not going to let that happen.”
Miley Cyrus Referred to Her as a “Frozen Ice Princess”
Despite the fact that Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus are diametrically opposed, they have a few commonalities. We’ll tell you right now that Miley Cyrus isn’t one of Taylor’s greatest admirers. She went after the musician after Swift branded her VMA performance with Robin Thicke in 2013 as “grotesque.” In an interview, Miley stated, “That Taylor is stuck up and can’t deal with how prissy she is. I’m not a fan of frilly.”
“Taylor is a…frigid ice princess who bored Harry Styles out of bed,” she said. Ouch! Isn’t that some nasty language? She also slammed Taylor’s “squad,” stating she doesn’t want to be a part of it since she prefers her pals to be “genuine people” with “actual” friends.
True That Everything Britney Does, Taylor Does Better?
When Ed O’Neill first met Britney Spears, he had no idea who she was. It appears that even the finest among us, even Britney Spears, experience it. Later, the New York Post ran a story asserting that “everything Britney accomplished, Taylor does better,” to which a Britney Spears fan responded with a mashup video of renowned singers laughing, ostensibly in response to the title.
And who do you think loved that video? Miley Cyrus double-tapped the screen to indicate to the world she doesn’t care for the singer. Swift’s supporters were furious with her for attacking Taylor out of nowhere, but considering it wasn’t the first time, something must have happened between the two.
Joe Jonas Received a Lot of Heat in Taylor Swift’s Music
Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift had a three-month whirlwind affair in 2008, and the singer said that he had broken up with her during a 27-second phone conversation. She then went on to slam him in a number of songs, including “Much Better,” “The Last Kiss,” “Forever and Always,” and “Mr. Perfectly Fine.”
Taylor re-recorded her music, which included re-releasing her songs about Jonas, when everything seemed to be behind them, since Jonas is now married to actress Sophie Turner. What’s more, the funniest part is that it’s all true. Sophie said, “It’s not NOT a bop” on her Instagram story while listening to “Mr. Perfectly Fine.”
Taylor Penned the Line About Camilla Belle
Given that Belle began dating Taylor Swift’s ex, Joe Jonas, shortly after the two split up, it’s clear why the two aren’t exactly best friends. In the song “More Than Revenge,” Taylor, who is renowned for expressing her emotions via music, teased Belle, saying, “She’s an actress, but she’s better known for the things that she performs on a mattress.”
Belle joined in later, when she was in the thick of her Kanye West battle and Kim uploaded the footage of her. “There’s no need for vengeance,” she tweeted. “Simply relax and wait. Those who have wronged you will ultimately make mistakes of their own, and if you’re lucky, God will allow you to see.”
Taylor Ended the Relationship Between Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez
Taylor Swift is well-known for a variety of reasons. Her connection with famous singer Demi Lovato has seen better days, but it was before Taylor went out with Joe Jonas. It was revealed that he was dating Demi Lovato shortly after the two broke up. So much for not siding with either party in the split!
Demi, who was close friends with Selena Gomez, looked irritated that Selena was spending more time with Taylor than she was with them. When a fan inquired about Selena’s health, they answered, “Ask Taylor!” Some thought that Taylor “stole” Selena Gomez from Demi Lovato, causing a rift between the two pals all because of Joe Jonas.
Demi Lovato Said Taylor Didn’t Support Kesha
Kesha was entangled in a court dispute with her producer, Dr. Luke, six years later, after she filed a complaint against him for assault, among other things. Kesha was ordered by a judge to continue working with Dr. Luke, the producer she alleges drugged, sexually assaulted, and mentally tormented her for a decade.
Demi Lovato then chastised Taylor for not “helping” her fellow singer in her legal struggle, to which Taylor responded that she had given a $250,000 gift to assist her. Demi tweeted after that, “Take something to Capitol Hill or truly speak up about anything and I’ll be impressed.”
One Direction and Harry Styles Need to “Shut Up”
It’s unknown what went wrong between Taylor Swift and Harry Styles to trigger their breakup. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles had a short-lived romance, but it’s still one of Swift’s most talked-about romances five years later. The One Direction singer hasn’t stated anything specific about Swift.
But he must have done something to make Taylor dislike him and his band. When One Direction approached the stage for their speech at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor was heard mouthing “Shut the f**k up” when she thought no one was looking. People were looking.
Taylor Was Publicly Humiliated by Diplo
It’s unknown what prompted Diplo to go after Taylor Swift and body shame the unfortunate singer. However, he did just that in 2014 when he tweeted, “Someone should establish a Kickstarter to get Taylor Swift a booty.” Despite the fact that Diplo never removed or apologized for the tweet, he recently told Input that making fun of other musicians online “truly came back to bite me in the end.”
The internet attacked the DJ for his demeaning remark, and even Lorde defended Swift, asking if they should do anything about his teeny-tiny assets, a reference, of course, to his genitalia. In an interview with GQ a year later, Diplo criticized Taylor for having a cruel army of supporters.
Her Songs Do Not Appeal to Jared Leto
Taylor Swift is the golden girl of pop, but it appears that not everyone likes her songs. In a leaked video, Jared Leto slams Tay Tay’s music. We don’t know how Jared Leto feels about Taylor Swift as a person, but he certainly doesn’t like her music. In 2015, a short clip of the actor critiquing Taylor’s album 1989 was released.
Despite the fact that both reviewers and fans praised the record, Jared was not one of them. In the video, he says, “Fk her. I couldn’t care less about her. It’s all about what works best for us.” Instead of criticizing well-known pop performers, perhaps he should examine his own performance as the Joker.
Tina Fey Made a Joke That She Overreacted To
When Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joked in 2013 that Taylor should “stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son” and that she needed “some me-time to learn about herself,” Taylor Swift couldn’t take it. Swift subsequently claimed in an interview with Vanity Fair that “women who don’t support other women have a specific place in hell.”
Even though Poehler expressed regret, Fey stood firm in her position. “I had no idea that was going to happen. It was all in good fun. It was only a joke,” the comic explained. She continued to make fun of Taylor several times after that.
Rihanna Declined to Join Her on Stage
While Taylor Swift is known for her extensive list of famous guests that have appeared on stage, it appears that one singer will not be joining her. While Rihanna avoids openly getting involved in other people’s feuds, it appears that she took a side in the Katy Perry/Taylor Swift quarrel. The singer is believed to be close friends with Perry, and while she was friendly with Swift, she declined to perform with her.
“It just doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t think our brands are the same,” she remarked. She also claimed that Taylor is a “role model,” despite the fact that she isn’t, and subsequently defined what she meant by that term. “I’m not perfect,” she admits. “That’s not something I’m trying to market. “
Father John Misty Considered Her Concerts Disturbing
After seeing one of Taylor Swift’s shows, Father John Misty, whose actual name is Joshua Tillman, had some things to say about her. He believes that these performances are concerning because they instill in young women incorrect notions of normalcy. He explained, “This obsession with telling females, ‘I’m normal, don’t let anyone tell you what you should be.’”
“This is what you’d do if you wanted to plan an evening with the Grand Leader. It’s a blatantly erroneous normalcy. And that’s a bad thing. It was trippy,” he remarked. “Her ideology completely permeated my dilated spirit.” We’re not sure how we feel about that last bit.
Taylor Swift Was Not Lorde’s Favorite Pal
Taylor Swift is no longer a youngster, yet her music, which she mostly wrote herself, can still tug at the heartstrings of her admirers. Lorde used to be friends with Tay Tay, and she even protected her during the Kanye West fight and other instances. But their connection soured along the road, and Lorde was described as saying some very nasty things about her former pal.
She explained: “It’s like having a buddy with really particular allergies. You can’t go to certain locations together. There are some things you can’t do… It’s like having an autoimmune illness pal.” She then apologized for the “autoimmune illness” statement, saying it was inconsiderate to others who suffer from the condition, but she still disliked Taylor.
Taylor Made Avril Lavigne Enraged
It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift irritating Avril Lavigne’s fans unintentionally. Taylor is almost certainly solely responsible for her dispute with Avril Lavigne, the well-known Canadian grunge-pop singer. In a Tumblr photo with the two singers, Swift said she was nicer to her fans than Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry were to theirs.
“Comparison is judgment and evaluating a person does not determine who they are; it defines who you are,” Avril remarked, expressing her displeasure. “We all adore our audience.” She makes a valid argument and thus explains why she isn’t a Swift fan. “So let’s keep it all about love and be optimistic,” she subsequently tweeted.
Kendall Jenner Sided With Her Family in the Conflict
Kendall Jenner used to be a member of Taylor’s entourage, but she now denies being so close to her. According to sources, Kendal Jenner, like the rest of us, was a huge Taylor Swift fan in 2010. Not only that, but Kendall Jenner also opted to take part in a music video for Taylor Swift’s song “Better Than Revenge.”
Kendall and Tay Tay both share an ex-boyfriend in Harry Styles, which is one of the reasons Taylor gave Kendall the cold shoulder after Styles reconciled with Kendall. The second reason is, of course, Taylor’s dispute with Kim Kardashian, because we all know how close the Kardashian/Jenner clan is.
Drake Bell Had a Few Words for Taylor’s Boyfriends
Ouch! According to Nickelodeon actor Drake Bell, Taylor isn’t exactly building a good name for herself in Hollywood. Drake Bell of Drake & Josh, a Nickelodeon show from a while back, appears to have a low view of Taylor Swift as well. When he found out she was dating One Direction’s Harry Styles and was quizzed about it, he replied, “Taylor Swift?”
“Is she going around town? She’s been going about town.” Drake’s pals quickly arrived to provide him with hot dogs and stop him from making any further humiliating remarks. We’re guessing he was trying to indicate that she’s mobile, but it’s a lot of shade to throw at her.
Ed Droste Is Relieved That the Rest of the World Is Catching Up
Taylor Swift appears to have a grudge toward Ed Droste. Ed Droste is the frontman of the indie rock band Grizzly Bear, in case you didn’t know. In 2015, the artist tweeted a tabloid piece on Twitter accusing Taylor of being a “mean girl.”
According to a source from the article, Taylor is a “control freak” who makes it clear to her pals that she is in charge. Ed stated that he’s “obsessed that people are catching on,” so Taylor’s pals naturally defended her, tweeting back that it’s “all BS,” while other Twitter users expressed support for the indie band member.
Taylor Was Declared Dead by Lushsux
It was an exhausting week for Taylor Swift’s legal team as they stepped in after a graffiti artist declared her dead. To begin with, we want to point out that, as far as we know, Taylor Swift is not physically dead. But remember when a painting in Melbourne’s streets purportedly announced Taylor Swift’s death?
That came shortly after Kim Kardashian shared a video of Taylor ostensibly agreeing to Kanye’s lyrics about her. The painting was created by the artist Lushsux. Taylor’s attorneys requested he remove the artwork immediately after it was completed, he alleged. This was all for naught, since the street art was vandalized in a matter of days.
Meghan Herning Thought Taylor Was a Symbol of the Alt-Right
Taylor Swift has been accused of seeking to suppress a critic who wrote about the alt-right’s admiration of Swift’s music. Meghan Herning wrote the post, which was published on a little-known cultural site called PopFront. Meghan Herning, a PopFront blogger, not only dislikes Taylor Swift, but she also believes the singer is being utilized as a symbol by the alt-right forces.
She even produced a whole essay about Taylor’s representation of dominance. It was a bit of a stretch, and no one took it seriously until Taylor’s team threatened legal action unless the post was removed. When this transpired, the ACLU called Taylor’s demand “an unfounded attempt to restrict constitutionally free expression.”
Bob Lefsetz Stated That She Can’t Sing
How do we tell the difference between criticism and condemnation? Both are a part of the life of an artist, as well as the monetization of all things made by humans. Bob Lefsetz may not be a household name outside of the music industry, but he is well-known within it. The music industry lawyer is also a critic, but he hasn’t always been known for giving Taylor constructive, or even fair, criticism.
He’d constantly stated that “she couldn’t sing,” which tremendously enraged her and her admirers. In reality, Lefsetz is the subject of the song “Mean,” which he is fully aware of. You may like Taylor Swift or dislike her, but you can’t say she can’t sing, can you?
Ronnie Cremer Disputes Taylor’s Genesis Tale
Ronnie Cremer is a well-known name among Taylor Swift fans, but few other people are aware of his existence (and Taylor would much rather keep it that way). In a 2015 interview, Cremer said that Taylor’s genesis narrative of how he taught her to play guitar was false. He claimed that rather than being a “fortunate accident,” her parents sought him out and engaged him to train her.
After that, he bought the domain name ITaughtTaylorSwift.com. Is it true that you are always seeking attention? Taylor’s staff presumably served him with a takedown notice, clarifying that Taylor never said she was poor growing up, but that she achieved fame on her own, not because of her parents’ wealth.
