Holly Woodlawn, Who Journeyed to the Big Apple
A Puerto Rican by origin, Holly Woodlawn’s name comes from two of the characters she played. She traveled to Big Apple at the age of 16 to become an actress showing her love for the entertainment industry.
Her memory as a high school dropout is depicted in ‘A Low Life in High Heels.’ Woodlawn did a few movies like ‘Alibi’ and ‘Scarecrow in a Garden of Cucumbers’ and later founded the Holly Woodlawn Memorial Fund for the Transgender youth in Los Angeles.
