Using an electric machine to make your pasta from scratch may be tempting, but chances are you’re not going to use this appliance as much as you think you will. Most people by an electric pasta machine with the hopes of becoming the next Gennaro Contaldo, but only end up making pasta once every blue moon.

These appliances are usually much lighter and cheaper than their electric counterpart. Regardless if you prefer a hand-operated machine or rolling by hand, the moral of the story remains the same: you don’t need an electric pasta machine.
