It Started as an Affair
Not every affair leads to a lasting relationship, and certainly not marriage. Most affairs don’t even survive long, as you see from many examples in the industry. Once an extramarital relationship becomes public knowledge, the cheating partner usually retreats to their marriage, begging for forgiveness.

If you’re a fan of numbers, only about 6 percent of affairs lead to marriage. So it’s safe to say that Rimes and Cibrian defied the odds. They continued their affair, and it still ended up happily ever after. But the road was as difficult as you could imagine.
