These new workers must complete a bachelor’s degree in childhood development and another year in food nutrition at the famous Norland College, which was founded in 1892. Emily Ward started the institution because there was no official childcare training at the time; instead, domestic employees were expected to care for children as part of their job.

They are trained in martial arts and defensive driving in order to combat paparazzi and kidnappers, both of which pose real hazards to royals.
