The name itself is a tad misleading. To be fair, Fred’s serves a variety of “meat and bread” sandwiches in addition to its burgers. Still, the Burger Stack is the undisputed star of the show and the finest reason to visit Atlanta’s famed Krog Street Market. The restaurant serves a wide variety of burgers influenced by cuisines from all over the world, from Spain to Vietnam. You may choose a Korean cheesesteak, an Italian grinder, or a traditional bacon cheeseburger. Fred will not let you down, no matter what you select.

Bread-and-butter pickles punctuate the richness of one of Atlanta’s greatest burgers, and the sesame seed bun does an amazing job of containing all the cheesy, greasy protein. You might want to return to try the cheesesteak or chicken parm after you’ve eaten it, but chances are you’ll succumb to the heat of the moment and order another Burger Stack.
