Wheel of Fortune Has Been Around for a While
The creators of Wheel of Fortune wanted to do something special to celebrate American veterans. Even though it’s had a remarkable run since debuting on NBC in 1975 as a daytime show, not everyone is allowed to participate in the well-known TV game show.

As part of 2015 Veterans Week, the producers wanted to offer the coveted opportunity to veterans. The show would have a military theme, and the stage was already set. The week’s shows would feature active and former service people as guests competing against one another for fun.
