A Possible Costar Romance?
Both Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns walked onto the set of Growing Pains as recently divorced or soon-to-be-divorced from their significant others. It became clear to everyone that the two had great chemistry, but apparently, it wasn’t just for the cameras. Thicke later said that the two got their flirt on and even considered dating in real life.

But (luckily) they decided against it. Why? Because Thicke and Seaver realized how bad their working relationship would be if their romance fizzled out. How responsible of them! We’re glad that the two were able to keep their relationship strictly professional, or else we might not have had seven glorious seasons of Growing Pains.
